As we wait for notable auction results and some more substantial 2027 Grand Sport content, the offseason for Corvette news following the Spring NCM Bash is officially winding down, but just like Hennessey and Peregryn, another niche manufacturer has stepped up with a Corvette-adjacent build to keep our interest piqued through the dog days of August, again proving that America’s Sports Car is the best canvas in the automotive world.

This one comes from California shop Rezvani Motors, and their latest small batch of supercars signals a very potent swan song for GM’s 6.2L V8 architecture. It’s called the Beast X, it makes an incredible 1,560 claimed horsepower, and just five will be built.

Rezvani has yet to make a formal announcement about the underlying tech, but as far as we can tell, under the carbon fiber fighter jet exterior of the Beast X lies a Corvette E-Ray. The E-Ray famously made 655 combined HP from its LT2 V8 and a battery-driven front axle. On top of rebodying and reupholstering five examples of the black sheep of the C8 family, each will also receive a twin-turbo kit to help it put even Chevrolet’s otherworldly ZR1X some 310 ponies – about equal to an entire 5.7L LT1 – in its rearview.

The firm famous for building rapper-grade “tanks” claims a 1.9-second 0-60 blast for the Beast X but hasn’t released any other information concerning performance or price. They are taking refundable $1,500 deposits for those looking to secure one of the extremely limited allocation spots.

  1. Exterior improves upon C8 in some ways…but is worse in others. Aston up front; Charger-meets-LFA in the back. Wing is horrible. And no sane person is going to take an aftermarket, warmed-over anything…over a stock ZR1X. Not for the same price. Not when clearly does not come with a warranty.
