[VIDEO] Dennis Collins Heads to California to Buy a 1963 Split Window Coupe

Over the course of the year, we’ve watched as Dennis Collins has traveled coast to coast rescuing old Corvettes from all kinds of challenging environments. In this new video, Dennis claims their win count for Corvettes is 40 for the year as he shares his latest two acquisitions.

Dennis traveled out to Livermore, California to bring home a 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe. The owner apparently purchased the car in 1980 and there it has been stored for 44 years. While is shows a dark blue paint scheme, the trim tag reveals it to originally be Sebring Silver with the Dark Blue interior. The engine appears to be the 327 and Dennis confirms its mated to a 4-speed manual transmission.

However, what really has Dennis excited is that the owner had a three-owner Ermine White 1964 Sting Ray Convertible that was original and unrestored. The odometer shows only 47,931 miles and it features both a soft top and a hard top. Unfortunately for Dennis, he only has space on the trailer for the Split Window, so one of his guys will be returning to grab the ’64 Corvette at a later date.

Later in the video, Dennis attends the dealers-only auction of classic Corvettes hosted by Manheim Auction in Dallas. The collection of cars being sold comes from John Clay, and it featured several coveted Corvettes that included a 1953 model with serial number five and a 1963 Z06 big tank Split Window.
