One of my wife’s favorite Corvettes was her 2002 C5 convertible in Light Pewter with a Light Oak interior and Light Oak canvas top. It’s a beautiful combination, and that car really drove great.
Of course, I inadvertently ruined the car one day by spraying too hard on the canvas top with a pressure washer, leaving several discolored streaks in its wake. I haven’t lived that one down to this day.
Maybe Santa will bring her this replacement, an identical-looking, one-owner offered on craigslist for $19,500 out of the Orlando, Florida area.
The owner describes the car as being in “excellent” condition, and it’s hard to find fault with his assessment as the paint, interior, and oh yes, the top look great after 25 years of light use.
This base C5, of course, includes the now-legendary LS1 V8 engine that produced 345 horsepower, up from the 300 in the final years of the previous generation’s LT1. It’s also mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
“Everything works perfectly,” the seller promises, leaving the main question for the new owner whether to actually drive this low-mileage example of a C5 or leave it in its currently pristine condition.
We would be tempted to go ahead and enjoy the car since these C5s are not likely to be a collector’s item any time soon. What about you?

Super nice car! Just a clutch pedal away from perfection!! 🙂
Never pressure wash a Corvette!
Auto and C5…even with 9K miles it’s not worth anything.
