The owner of this triple black 1970 Corvette convertible admits his Stingray isn’t a show car but still says it’s a nice driver.
If that description fits the bill for you, you might want to check out this Craigslist ad in Denville, New Jersey, some 30 miles northwest of New York City.
The seller is asking $17,900 for his car, which has 90,000 miles showing on the odometer and is one of the 6,648 convertibles built during a short production run that ended with just 17,316 total units, the lowest since 1962.
The 350 V8 engine “runs excellent,” he says, and other features include an automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes.
Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning, not the best news for a triple black car in the summertime, but at least the seller is throwing in a new black soft top still in the box.
We’d love to see this car after some detail work to the paint and interior, though it’s likely without a repaint and some new parts inside, it won’t be a show car.
Still, walking up and seeing the beautiful lines of a chrome bumper ’70 Corvette and knowing the keys are in your pocket might just make up for its blemishes.
