Corvettes for Sale: Hennessey ZR700 2011 Corvette ZR1 on Bring a Trailer

The ultimate C6 is no doubt the so-called “Blue Devil” ZR1, so what do you call this 2011 Corvette ZR1 that’s been upgraded even further with a Hennessey ZR700 package?

The ZR1, of course, made 638 horsepower with its supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8 engine, the most powerful automobile ever sold by GM during its five-year run. But this “new and improved” edition increases that figure to a whopping 705 (and 717 lb-ft of torque), thanks to enhancements from Texas-based Hennessey Performance, and reportedly has a top speed of 212 mph and a quarter-mile time of 11.3 seconds @ 136 mph.

Now, someone has an opportunity to buy one of these ZR1s through an auction on Bring a Trailer, where the highest bid so far is $72,000. Six days remain for that figure to keep climbing.

This car – with a Hennessey serial number of 11 – has been driven only 10,626 miles and remains in like-new condition inside and out, besides the aforementioned ZR700 package.

That Hennessey upgrade, by the way, includes a revised supercharger pulley and air intake system, stainless steel long-tube exhaust headers, high-flow catalytic converters, upgraded intercooler system, and reprogrammed engine management computer. A new fuel pump was installed this year.

Produced from 2009 to 2013, with a total of 4,695 units built at Bowling Green, the ZR1 was easily spotted with its clear polycarbonate engine cover that allowed onlookers to get a look at the top of this behemoth without raising the hood. Other features include composite and carbon-fiber throughout its widebody, aluminum frame, six-speed manual transmission, massive Brembo brakes with tell-tale blue calipers, and Selective Magnetic Ride Control.

Originally introduced in 2009 with a base price of $103,300, the MSRP had climbed to $110,750 by the time this Torch Red over Ebony 2011 model was produced. It’s one of just 806 built that model year and includes the optional $10,000 3ZR package that included custom-wrapped leather interior, nav radio, Bose 9-speaker system, memory package, heated sport seats, head-up display, power telescopic steering wheel, and home remote.

Ironically, the 62-year-old seller says the upgraded ZR1 has “basically just been taken to weekend shows on nice weekends” and has not been tracked or raced during his six years of ownership.

  1. I think Hennessey rates hp at the wheels so if you factor GM rating crank hp, then this thing is probably making about 800 at the crank. The current bid is a steal at that price.
