Patience has proven to be a virtue for enthusiasts who have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the eighth-generation Corvette E-Ray in Australia and New Zealand.

A year after debuting in the United States, the first-ever hybrid Corvette is now available as a 2025 model at General Motors Specialty Vehicles authorized dealerships in these two overseas markets, finally joining the Stingray and Z06.

The all-wheel drive E-Ray becomes the most powerful mid-engine sports car in Australia and New Zealand – thanks to its 495-horsepower LT2 gasoline engine combined with a 160-horsepower electric motor to produce a total of 654 horsepower and 594 lb-ft of torque.

“The Corvette is a true icon of the performance car world and now that story is entering a new era with the arrival of our first ever electrified supercar, the Corvette E-Ray,” said Managing Director GM Australia and New Zealand, Jess Bala. “With the surety of all-wheel drive, E-Ray isn’t only the quickest Corvette yet, but it’s the ultimate all-weather, all-condition supercar. The E-Ray’s arrival means we now have a Corvette to suit every driver.

In The Land Down Under, the E-Ray will be available only in the top-of-the-line 3LZ trim that includes GT2 seats with Napa leather and carbon-fiber trim, custom leather-wrapped interior, sueded microfiber-wrapped upper interior trim, and carbon-fiber steering wheel trim and paddles. The cars will also be outfitted with the ZER Performance Package and carbon-ceramic brakes for increased track capabilities.

• Corvette Stingray 2LT Coupe – $182,000
• Corvette Stingray 3LT Coupe – $197,000
• Corvette Stingray 2LT Convertible – $199,500

  1. I tried to get a 2024 E-Ray and my dealer could not get one. Now, I’m asking to order a 2025 E-Ray. Their reply was to say they’ll help match me to a car in stock. Does anyone from Chevrolet or GM care?
