The 2024 Corvette E-Ray brought a lot of firsts to the mid-engine lineup, including its hybrid all-wheel-drive powertrain.
Production at the Bowling Green, Kentucky assembly plant has been limited so far, so these ground-breaking Corvettes have been hard to find.
Not so right now on Bring a Trailer, however, where a top-of-the-line 3LZ coupe with just 54 miles could be going to a new home in two days if the current bid of $87,000 climbs to an acceptable level in time.
The E-Ray begins with the same 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine that comes in the standard Stingray and produces 495 horsepower, but then adds a 160-horsepower electric motor with a 1.9-kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack for the front wheels to create a total of 655 horsepower and 595 lb-ft of torque.
This Torch Red E-Ray is the 162nd example ever built and was delivered to John Thornton Chevrolet in Lithia Springs, Georgia, according to the window sticker.
That sticker peaks out at $120,230, including $995 for Carbon Flash Machined Wheels, $695 for Bright Red Painted Brake Calipers, $500 for ZER Performance Package that includes spoiler wickers and high performance Michelin Pilot Sport summer tires, and $495 for a Sterling Silver Engine Cover.
Other notable features include Magnetic Selective Ride Control, Performance Traction Management, 275/30 20-inch front and 345/25 21-inch rear tires, regenerative carbon-ceramic brakes, head-up display, heated and ventilated GT2 seats, front and rear cameras, performance data and video recorder, and 14-speaker Bose Performance Series sound system. Also included are new safety features like rear park assist, rear cross traffic alert, side blind zone alert, forward collision alert, and lane keep assist with lane departure warning.
The car also comes with an Adrenaline Red Dipped leather interior, along with an eight-speed automatic dual-clutch transaxle and electronic limited-slip differential.
