On Monday at an undisclosed location, our friend Jeff “Zipity” Duda of Zipity’s Garage and Ciocca Corvette was able to attend a retirement party for the former Executive Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter. While the engineers were inside, Jeff took a moment to survey the parking lot and came up with this exceptional find…two 2025 Corvette Z06s in Hysteria Purple Metallic.
At first I thought we were looking at two different cars as these photos were back-to-back. The first was a 2025 Z06 Convertible and then we see this photo of a 2025 Corvette Coupe with Natural interior. We believe this to be a Z06 as well, but only because its wearing the Carbon Fiber wheels. It could be an E-Ray though.

I will say that this new color makes me feel better about it with every new example we see. As the sun is going down, the color has turned into a dark grape, mixing nicely with the Carbon Flash Nacelles and the Z07’s carbon aero package, but not turning so dark that you can’t make out that its purple.
Like the 2025 Z06 we just saw at the Troy Traffic Jam, this one is also wearing one of the new 10-spoke wheel designs for the Z06. We believe these are the STX Mask/Polish versions which reminds of the wheels you would see on the classic Hot Wheels models. These were the same wheels shown at the NCM Bash, and I think one of the team members referred to them as being polished with carbon flash “pockets.”
I looked back at the poll we did on Hysteria and it received an 80% approval from our readers. Does Chevrolet have another winning color, or will this one be a basement dweller on the yearly production stats? Let us know your thoughts on the new Hysteria Purple Metallic in the comments below.

It really looks blue not purple and it’s needs to be shown in the sun!!!
That is clearly blue. It’s just a darker blue, halfway between Riptide and midnight blue. Calling this purple is like calling Red Mist a brown color.
This is NOT purple, and those who think it is are the same people who think CY is superior to AYM; think AYM is green; think 745 varieties of monochrome are perfectly acceptable on a corvette; think Cacti is inspired, just like Caffeine was; and who will nitpick forever about how Seawolf Grey is so clearly different from Shark Grey, Cyber Grey, Hypersonic Grey, etc.
They’re all grey, just like the hair color of everyone who can afford these things–splitting hairs over which grey is what is laughable. Just like calling Hysteria purple is laughable.
I’m also on the blue bandstand… it’s a nice blue, but not purple.
This is a purple fail 😭
The car really doesn’t wear this color well…at least in these photos it doesn’t.
I placed my Eray order with this color.
Might need to change it.
Whatever color it is I like it! Just like all metallics it’s a color that needs to be seen in the sun to see what it actually looks like. I would so have a Corvette in this color.
This colour looks a lot like the LeMans blue on my 2006. As of now, this is my number one choice for my ZR1 order.

Definately blue. There are other blues I like much better. They need to make it a real purple!
The wheels are horrible; they should have been an alternative option and not a standard wheel. Absolutely horrible. Not a fan of the hysteria. I like a good dark purple like Minnesota Vikings or the C7 color black rose metallic, but I wouldn’t buy a car with this color.

I see a blue Corvette like everyone else. Does not look anything like purple.
Why is GM afraid of doing a real purple…or green? They could just browse through McLaren or Lamborghini colors and see what exotics with dramatic colors have available. For how many years has it been Torch Red? BTW…Mazda has a much better “Red Mist” than Corvette’s.

(GM should consult an America company, called Kindig Design on color choices-“Bitchin”).

Many times I look at a colour and I’m not sure about it.but this colour is fantastic. I would buy this in a heart beat.ps love the rims
