Witnesses claim the driver of a C7 Corvette climbed out and hid beer cans after crashing his car Friday in Oregon.
Lincoln City police say 48-year-old Edrick Darell Dixon of Lincoln City was allegedly speeding excessively in a 30-mph zone when he had to swerve to miss a turning vehicle and then struck a median and a “large rock” in the median. The car then went up on two wheels and hit an embankment at Siletz Bay Park.
Fortunately, none of the several bystanders in the area were struck by the out-of-control Corvette, police say.
However, after the crash, witnesses claim that Dixon exited the Corvette, hid beer cans, and got back in the car before first responders arrived.
After being taken to the hospital to be checked out, Dixon allegedly acted intoxicated there and threatened officers and hospital personnel.
He’s been charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, tampering with physical evidence and second-degree criminal mischief.
By the way, police say they found a beer can under the car.

What is the point of this article. Not newsworthy and not worthy!
Sheds a light on Corvette owners that is negative and very bad.
This C7 owner is a total ass!
I really don’t drink much anymore but if I happen to have glass of wine or a beer, I don’t even go near my Corvette or RC F
Me to Rob C
Perhaps we should be honest, we all have had a few beers and drove?
Usually on special occasions in which we have consciously decided to take the risk?
So please, invoke your “miranda rights”, and request your lawyer to be present and consider refusing the field sobriety test if you are “two sheets to the wind”. Moreover, be prepared, consider doing a little proactive research on law firms, mainly criminal defense teams, before the above situation happen to you and/or a loved one.
Please note: Judges and Attorneys have all driven above the legal limits and are also guilty of driving under the influence; at some time in their life? I personally carry my defense team business card on my persons and another one in my Corvette.
Many thanks,
Ray
