[VIDEO] The Throttle House C8 ZR1 Video is the Only One that Features Teleportation

When the clock hit 7:30 PM EST (except for a brief but costly early morning mental lapse by “EddieX”), the floodgates were opened, and the Crossed Flags faithful were inundated with more C8 Corvette ZR1 content than it is possible for anyone to consume. Luckily, your friendly neighborhood CorvetteBloggers are all working overtime – my personal phone browser has a baker’s dozen tabs open right now while videos are on repeat on the big screen – to comb through everything and provide you with the highlights.

In your humble author’s estimation thus far, the undisputed winner of this initial twin-turbo wave of C8 ZR1 introductions are our friends at Throttle House. We aren’t going to take away from their work by overdoing it here, but if you aren’t already mashing the “play” button, these two have come the closest to replicating the recipe of entertainment/comradery/education that made the old Top Gear the most-watched television program… in the world!

Thomas and James of TH, who just set a new highwater mark at their home track with a C8 Z07, were one of the select few outlets awarded early access to the burliest-ever member of the Corvette family, and what they did with that access doesn’t disappoint! Aside from the humorous teleportation bit alluded to above, their video is chock-full of information and excellent moments. Among those are Tommy tearing up said home track in a Blade Silver 2010 ZR1 to remind us exactly how great the badge has been since its 2009 introduction to the mainstream, an immature snicker at the press release’s mention of “strong shafts” that mirrored my own, beautiful photography of the Orange-striped Arctic White over Habanero ZTK Convertible, a lot of favorable comparisons to current super and hypercars, and more fun facts than you could shake a flat-plane crankshaft at.

A few of our favorites go as follows: The C8 ZR1 weighs a reasonable 3,670 pounds, its turbos could empty an Olympic pool’s worth of air in just 4 minutes, and, a personal favorite: the LT7 makes a C6 ZR1-matching 638 HP at just 4,100 rpm and gets to the C7 ZR1’s 755 by 4,750 rpm!

Enjoy this one ‘Vette fans; this is what it feels like when your team wins the Super Bowl!
