Corvettes for Sale: 'CarbonRay' is a Supercharged 1963 Corvette Split Window Restomod

The guys at Nostalgia Hot Rods out of Henderson, Nevada have just built one of the meanest-looking custom ’63 Corvette split-window coupes ever made, especially if you’re into carbon fiber.

In fact, the custom hot rod shop is using the name “CARBONRAY” for its masterpiece that may hold the record for most carbon fiber ever used on a Corvette.

Check out the car on their YouTube post, and you’ll see what we’re talking about first-hand. The coolest feature in our opinion has to be the carbon fiber roof that’s separated from the black paint on the lower body by a seamless line.

But other carbon-fiber parts include the headliner, the seats, the dash, the mirrors, the engine bay, and the single-blade front and rear bumpers.

The CARBONRAY is definitely a standout performance-wise, too, with an LS2 V8 engine with a 3-liter Magnuson Supercharger poking through a hole in the hood and boosting horsepower to unspecified levels.

The car also features a TCI 6X six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, along with black side exhaust pipes, NHR chassis, Ridetech suspension, Air Ride Technology Shockwave, 19-inch and 20-inch Budnik Knife wheels, cross-drilled and slotted 14-inch rotors, six-piston Wilwood disc brakes in front and four-piston Wilwood brakes in the back.

The black interior, which features a hint of red throughout, is stunning with Sparco carbon fiber race seats, Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air, Rockford Fosgate stereo system, flush mount glass, and even carbon-fiber door handles in the shape of a Stingray.

“The inside of this car is the perfect combination between supercar and muscle car,” Nostalgia Hot Rods says. “This car is comfortable, exhilarating, and just a joy to drive.”

If you’d like to be the one climbing the wheel, the CARBONRAY is currently available, though we weren’t able to confirm the exact asking price but suspect it won’t be cheap. For more information, e-mail [email protected].

  1. Wow! Looks mean as hell and will go like hell. Superbly equipped and an excellent job well done.

  2. Kewl car. But….you would expect that during the custom one off build someone would have addressed the squeaky drivers door hinge.
