While the latest running of the Indianapolis 500 is now in the history books, one way to celebrate the Greatest Spectacle in Racing all year round is to own one of the iconic Pace Car Replicas offered by Chevrolet throughout the years. The 1995 Corvette was just the third official Pace Car and Chevrolet created a replica in distinctive Dark Purple over White with a wide Red stripe wrapped around the nose and fenders. Inside the car is a Purple/Black interior with the 79th Indy 500 Logos embroidered into the headrests. A White convertible top and silver ZR-1 wheels completed the look.

It was the first time since 1987 that Chevrolet produced a two-tone Corvette. Just 587 examples were made, making the 1995 Indy 500 Pace Cars one of the lowest produced special editions ever offered.

Pricing on the car was originally $43,665 and the Z4Z Pace Car Package was additional $2,816. Customers could also get the Pace Car Preferred Equipment Group for an additional $2,709 which includes electronic air conditioning, power driver and passenger seats, Delco/Bose stereo and the Performance Axle Ratio. The total MSRP for this ’95 Pace Car was $49,750.

Standard equipment includes the 300-horsepower LT1 V8 engine that was mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.

The seller claims the Pace Car has been stored in a climate controlled garage and indeed it does look very good. Another plus is the Ceramic Coating which really seems to turn up the Dark Purple when it’s under the sun.
