Corvettes for Sale: Lime Rock Green 2014 Corvette Premiere Edition Convertible No.397

When the seventh generation Corvette made its debut for 2014, Chevy decided to celebrate the occasion with a couple of “Premiere Editions.”

The team at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant built 500 such coupes in Laguna Blue and another 550 convertibles in the one-year-only Lime Rock Green (with Kalahari canvas top) – with both body styles including a special Brownstone leather interior.

In case you missed out buying one of these special editions back in the day, you have another chance now with this low-mileage beauty being offered on Bring a Trailer.

The high bid on this 12,000-mile one-owner 3LT convertible – #397 out of 550, according to the Premiere Edition badge on the center stack – has already soared to $42,250, and there are still five days left in the auction.

“This car is exceptional in every way,” the seller says in a comment on the BaT listing page. “First year car, Limited Edition, VIN specific numbered car, 3LT trim package, and just look at that Brownstone interior!!! The suede accents on the dash, doors, and seats truly enriched the interior cabin look and feel and just set it apart from the normal interiors seen more often in the base model C7 Corvettes.”

The seller calls this 2014 Corvette “the best kind of collectible – low enough miles to be collector status but just enough to enjoy guiltless weekend cruises all while still appreciating in value! This car was loved from the moment the order was placed, and who better to buy a car from than a steward of the brand!”

The car listed for a whopping $80,650 – with the biggest option being the Stingray Z51 Premiere Edition package at $8,300. Besides the Stingray Launch interior plaque with special number, Lime Rock Green Metallic paint, and the Brownstone Suede interior, that option also included the Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Trim Package, Multi-Mode Performance Exhaust System, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, and Chrome Aluminum Wheels.

In addition, the car has the top-of-the-line 3LT Preferred Equipment Package that added another $8,005 and provided the Memory Package, Power Bolster and Power Lumbar Seat Adjusters, Corvette Logo Badge on the seats, NAPA Leather Seat Inserts, Leather Wrapped and Color Keyed Instrument Panel, Console and Doors, Power Heated Outside Mirrors, Auto Dimming Rearview Mirror, Heated & Ventilated Seats, Premium Bose Audio with 10 Speaker Surround, and Head-Up Display.

The only other option was the six-speed paddle shift automatic transmission that cost $1,350.

It’s hard to find a classier look than this Lime Rock Green convertible with Brownstone interior, wouldn’t you say?

  1. Brownstone is a badly missing color from the C8 lineup. Suede in general is badly missing from the C8 lineup–as it does not cover all the interior surfaces.

It’s rather telling when this 10 year old C7 interior makes the C8’s spastic, disjointed, flung together mess really look mediocre by comparison. Yes, you can tell the C7’s is older; it just looks that much more holistic and competent.

The only things I’d change on this one would be to bronze the braces on the front grill and get some bronze colored wheels.

  2. Why doesnt Chevy bring back that Gorgeous Green?? The Brownstone looks beautiful for that old a Vette!! Well taken cared for!!
