If you missed out on the chance to buy a brand new 2002 Corvette back in the day, here’s the next best thing.
On the Facebook group “Low Miles No Miles,” this Electron Blue 2002 Corvette coupe is up for sale by one of the members, who is asking $40,000 for his one-owner C5 that has been driven just 844 miles.
He says the car has been stored in a climate-controlled garage since new, adding that the car was driven the week it was purchased new and has been properly stored since with regular starts and fuel treatment.
“The car is how it left the showroom,” the original owner says in the listing. “Never washed, 22 years of dust.”
He claims the tires have no cracks or dry rot, and he even drove it for 20 miles before listing it for sale.
Besides the very low mileage, this Corvette is also notable for another reason. It’s said to be one of only three Electron Blue cars built in 2002 with the full Torch Red interior.
The car had an original MSRP of $47,425 and is equipped with the Corvette Coupe Preferred equipment Group 2 package that cost $2,700 and includes dual zone air conditioning, fog lamps, luggage shade and parcel net, memory package, adjustable sport bucket seat, power passenger seat, twilight sentinel, electrochromic mirrors, head-up display, and power telescoping and manual tilt steering column.
Other options include the $1,200 polished aluminum wheels, $1,200 dual removable roof panels (the clear top is still in the factory plastic), $600 remote compact 12-disc changer, and $75 body side moldings.

Looks like the owner let his beautiful Electron Blue Metallic C5 just sit around to collect dust and take a back seat to his immaculate looking Viper.
There’s a 2002 Red with 800 miles in the showroom of my dealership in Raleigh. Asking $34,000
Why? Just why would someone just let the car sit and rot? After someone buys this Vette things are going to have to be replaced because it sat so long. Climate control or not rubber still goes bad and other parts will need to be addressed! I would rather buy one with more miles that has been driven and the parts that these are noted to fail have been repaired. JMO
Maybe put a cover on it for the next 20 years.

I owned one as well. 2002 electron blue with torch red interior. 6 speed coupe. no charge then for color combination.( like today). i believe there were at least 12 of these built. There were two in Wisconsin at one time. I owned for 10 years and sold to make way for 2012 grand sport convertible. it was polarizing. you either loved it or hated it. I loved it. was celebrity choice of chief engineer David Hill in 2022 at NCM bash.
