[VIDEO] Tire Talk: A Comparison of Michelin's Three Tires for the C8 Corvette Z06 and E-Ray

With arrival of the widebody C8 Corvette Z06 and E-Ray models, buyers now have the choice of three different Michelin tires depending on their driving styles. A YouTuber named Geared Media already owns a Z06 and he just took delivery of a new 2024 E-Ray for his wife. With the car already undergoing some disassembly for some mods, he takes some time to share this comparison of the three tires that include the Michelin Cup 2R vs Pilot Sport 4S vs Pilot Sport All Season 4+ ZP.

All three of these tires are the same size for the Corvettes with 275s up front and the huge 345s on the rear, but that’s about where the similarities end. Each tire has a specific purpose, and it’s still very surprising to hear how good the all-season tire is when compared to the Pilot Sport 4S tires.

The guy behind the Geared Media YouTube channel says his Z06 with the Z07 Performance Package came with th Cup 2R tires which he now uses exclusively as a track set up package, so he is daily driving the Z06 with the Pilot Sport 4S tires. Of the All-Season tire, he says he has driven a Corvette E-Ray in the rain with them on, and he calls them really, really good. On the skid pad, he says the different between the All Seasons and the 4S tires is just .1g which is just about unnoticeable to any casual driver.

He also makes some interesting observations about driving the Cup 2Rs with a track alignment and while he calls himself a pretty good driver, he says of the tires that is just isn’t fun as the car gets “darty.”
