Just passing along some good news to the approximately 111 new 2024 Corvette E-Ray buyers. You’re about to officially become owners! This morning, we got the word that GM was invoicing the completed E-Rays and that shipping to dealers would soon be underway.

While we heard from a Chevy dealer that 120 E-Rays have been produced through Tuesday, we see the unofficial production estimate from Roger Kiel on Facebook is showing 111 through Wednesday, which includes 21 built Monday through Wednesday. The C8 Tracker website is also showing 111 Corvette E-Rays and you can pull the Window Stickers to see what people are ordering.

We’re also hoping to see some official communications from Chevrolet. In recent years they have posted the very first new customer car coming off the line, and it sure would be fun to see Mr. Hendrick’s VIN 001 Black and Red E-Ray Coupe at the end of the assembly line surrounded by the proud men and women who assembled the car.

We got some other E-Ray news coming up today featuring the results from Car and Driver’s 2024 Lightning Lap competition so stay tuned!

  1. I love the all wheel traction. It is a special American super car! I am very excited about it, in fact please me information. Thanks.

  2. Been waiting since 1st announced…2nd on my local Chevy dealership. So..THIS IS GREAT NEWS!! READY TO KICK SOME Z-06 AZZ!!

  3. Chevrolet is becoming more and more like software companies. They announce a new product a year in advance, create a lot of hoopla and excitement but then it takes a year to deliver the product, and then they trickle out of the factory about as fast as maple syrup out of a tree.

I’m sure the hoopla for the ZR1 will start shortly, but we wont see any rolling out of dealer lots until 2026 or 2027.
