[VIDEO] Mobil 1 The Grid: End of the Road for Corvette Racing's C8.R

It’s hard to believe that we are saying goodbye at the end of the season to Corvette Racing’s C8.R. The 5.5L GTLM racing machine will drive off into the sunset at the end of this season and will join all the different Corvette Racing racecars from the C5-R to the C7.R that retired previously.

But there’s a new Corvette racer that’s well underway in its development. The new Z06 GT3.R will be hitting the racing grids around the world as a privateer in 2024 with full support from Chevrolet and Corvette Racing.

Our friends at Mobil 1 the Grid talks with some of the current Corvette Racing drivers and support staff about their favorite moments in the C8.R as well as looking to the future with the new GT3-spec Corvette racer.

  1. If Car & Driver’s concept artist is correct for the cover of its latest issue, Chevy can use the body molds for the C8 R for the upcoming Zora that looks like a street version of it. I am much more impressed with the looks of the GT3 R.
