Corvette Racing has always marched to a different beat, and some of the fun that the team had in their early days have now become longstanding traditions. One of those traditions is the daily sounding of the train horn during Le Mans which is used to signal the team’s call for lunch.

Following the conclusion of the 8 Hours of Bahrain, Corvette Racing’s crew members pulled out the train horn to celebrate the first ever WEC Championship for the team. That moment of celebration was captured on the live TV broadcast:

But they weren’t done there. During the awards ceremony the following evening, GM Racing’s Laura Wontrop Klauser was surprised to be honored as the WEC Personality of the Year. When asked to say a few a words, this is what happened:

Congratulations to Laura Klauser and the entire Corvette Racing team for their hard work and dedication. The WEC team was a lot of fun to follow this season, it was definitely one of the most successful teams in recent history.
