Surveillance video captured a scary crash involving a C5 Corvette convertible Monday morning.

The video shows the black 2000 Corvette first sliding upright into the front door of a food store in Rochester, New York, then eventually flipping over and winding up on its top beside the building located on the corner of Clifford Avenue and Miller Street.

The driver was issued a citation after the Corvette struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk and pinned them against the building.

Fortunately, both the driver and the pedestrian – transported to a local hospital – are expected to recover.

Investigators say the accident happened about 11:45 a.m. when the eastbound Corvette lost control, slid onto the sidewalk next to the store and struck the building before flipping upside down on the road.

Photos from the scene show the outer skin of the driver’s door propped up against the Corvette, with its front and rear body panels also damaged.

  1. Pavement even looked wet.
The tires on My C8 Z51 are kind of useless in the wet.
In fact, I dont even break it out of the garage on rainy or wet days, same with my 911.
That’s what my daily driver Jeep Cherokee is for.
This is also why I hit Willow Springs if I am feeling immature of lacking discipline.
