Two stolen C7 Corvette Z06s were among the items seized during a major drug bust Monday in Louisiana, according to detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Narcotics Division in Slidell.

Authorities say the pair of yellow and white Corvettes were valued at more than $171,000 – one worth $93,000 stolen in July from a Fort Worth, Texas home and the other valued at more than $78,000 taken in August from a Plano, Texas dealership. One of the cars even had two VINs displayed on it, with detectives saying that was a sign of tampering in an attempt to elude police.

The cars were seized as part of a drug raid after a tip about possible narcotics activity at a home in the 300 block of Brookhaven Court near Slidell.

Authorities also seized more than 22 pounds of suspected marijuana packaged for distribution and worth an estimated $100,000 on the street, various drug paraphernalia, three pistols, and $26,000 in drug money, officials said.

The raid also resulted in the arrest of two men, Ronald Riley Jr., and Zacharie T. Jordan.

“Once again I commend the detectives with our Narcotics Division for the work they do every day to identify and arrest those individuals who are partaking in illegal activities in our good parish,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “It is clear by the results of this search, that these two men were up to no good.”

Riley has been charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, transactions involving the proceeds from drug offenses, possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, illegal possession of stolen things over $25,000 and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, Jordan is facing charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, transactions involving the proceeds from drug offenses, illegal possession of stolen things over $25,000, possession of drug paraphernalia, motor vehicles, alteration or removal of identifying numbers and resisting a police officer with force or violence.

The two men were booked into St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
