GTECHNIQ Introduces HALOv2 Flexible Film Coating for Vehicles with PPF and Vinyl Wraps

GTECHNIQ has made their mark in the automotive detailing world by offering unique formulas for protecting the various surfaces of your Corvette. These products were designed in a laboratory to chemically bond to the type of surface it was engineered for such as painted exteriors, allow wheels, leather seats, glass windows, and plastic trim. GTECHNIQ’s family of detailing products are designed for protecting the surface they are applied to.

GTECHNIQ’s latest breakthrough is the launch of its HALOv2 Flexible Film Coating designed for vehicles that have paint protection films (PPF) and vinyl wraps. GTECHNIQ has been working on this update for over a year and they have simplified the process for quicker applications with only one coat of the product needed for enhanced durability, dirt resistance, and increased hydrophobicity to repel water.

HALOv2 offers the latest in weatherproof composite siloxane technology. When applied to a vehicle with PPF or a vinyl wrap, the super-dense HALOv2 formula chemically bonds to and becomes the permanent surface of PPF and Vinyl wraps, leaving the surface incredibly slick and dirt repellent. The new HALOv2 integrates seamlessly with a vast array of PPFs and vinyl including the latest hydrophobic films and can be used on gloss, satin, and matte finishes. It is also proven to work on self-healing films. Once applied, HALOv2 enhances and protects vehicles with PPF and vinyl wraps for up to two years.

Unlike the previous formulation which required the application of two layers, HALOv2 now only requires one layer of product to be applied, which saves time, effort, and makes maintenance a breeze. “Ease of application and performance are two of the cornerstones of our product philosophy,” says GTECHNIQ’s Rob Earle. “With HALOv2 only requiring a single layer and that single layer comfortably out-performing two layers of HALOv1, this update hits both of those marks head on.”

Each box of HALOv2 contains a pair of nitrile gloves, an AP2 Ultra Soft Foam Filled Application, instructions, and a GTECHNIQ window sticker. HALOv2 retails for $74.95 for the 30ml bottle or $99.95 for the 50ml bottle:


Before adding HALOv2 to your PPF or Vinyl wrap, you’ll want to wash and decontaminate the surface with GTECHNIQ’s W5 Citrus All Purpose Cleaner and W6 Iron Fallout Remover. You should then spray a 30% dilution of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) on to a GTECHNIQ MF1 ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth to remove any fingerprints or other surface contaminates to ensure the product has the maximum number of chemical bonds between the HALOv2 and the PPF/vinyl wrap. Once the surface is prepared, pour the HALOv2 onto the provided applicator in overlapping strokes. After coating a panel, remove any remaining residue with the MF1 buff cloth. Once applied to your vehicle, it must remain indoors for at least 12 hours to allow the application to bond with the vehicle’s surface.
