When a storm blew through and damaged Jeff and Missy Garner’s 2019 Watkins Glen Gray Corvette in Smiths Grove, Kentucky, they didn’t let the disaster keep them down.

Instead, with the help of NCM Insurance, which covered the loss of their ’19 Stingray and provided an expedited claim process and outstanding customer service, the Garners were able to quickly pick up the pieces.

Indeed, the couple was in Bowling Green Friday morning at the National Corvette Museum to take delivery of their very special replacement Corvette Stingray, VIN 001 for the new 2024 model year.

Thunderous applause from onlookers and staff members greeted the couple and their Arctic White (over Adrenaline Red interior) convertible as the car exited the museum during an R8C delivery, an experience also enjoyed there by thousands of other new-Corvette owners over the years. Available through any Chevy dealer, when specified during ordering, R8C customers are greeted with special signs and a guided VIP tour of the NCM where their car is displayed on Corvette Boulevard, with an orientation and presentation of their new Corvette. Customers also receive a one-year individual membership to the National Corvette Museum, a unique gold decal on the inside of the driver’s door jamb, and a commemorative wall plaque with the customer’s name, date of delivery, and VIN.

“The new Corvette is an amazing car,” Jeff said, “and I’m most excited to get out and enjoy a drive. Our 2019 was a special car as that was a gift from my wife Missy, but to have a VIN #001 car, and take delivery at the museum, makes this my dream Corvette.”
