We can’t wait to hear from the internet about this George Barris-created custom 1975 Corvette created for the late comedian John Belushi.
The car had been in the collection of a man named John Foster since 1995, but after his death, his estate sold it. Now it’s up for sale again on craigslist out of the Bellingham area in the northwest corner of Washington state, with an asking price of $24,999 or best offer.
The seller is also willing to trade “up or down as long as it’s not a project,” including Mustang, Nova, El Camino, CJ Jeep, Challenger, hot rod, Chevelle, Rambler, classic pickup, Pontiac, “just some ideas.”
The styling is definitely going to be a matter of personal taste. To us, it looks like a Corvette had a love child with a Buick Riviera or Lincoln Continental.
While the looks are subjective, the car actually appears to be in very nice condition, with the paint looking to be immaculate in photos and the stock black interior in similar shape.
The car is powered by a 350 small block engine, with Erson valve covers and air cleaner and chrome side pipes. This “one-off custom” includes an automatic transmission, power steering, and T-tops.
While the seller admits the car isn’t “perfect,” he does consider it to be “cool as heck,” “very dependable” and “under true value today (yet alone 10 more years from now, who knows).”

Another George Harris abomination.
There’s a pearl white one in North Carolina identical to this one but it looks even worse as it has a metal crash bumper sticking out of the rear of it that looks like shit. It’s called the Markvette – a cross between a Lincoln Continental Mark III and an early C3 Corvette. I’ve seen it a few times at a local car show and it is not a pretty sight to see in person.
My god what a waste of a nice car, sits way to high, the front end and rear end are horrendous, the interior is OK and the wheels but that’s IT!! Belushi must have been very, very high to order this abomination.
This made me think of John Belushi. Belushi was a great comedian.
