[VIDEO] Official Music Video for ‘Corvette’ by SAPPHIRE

Back when I was growing up in the eighties, we lived out in the country and had no access to cable TV to watch the MTV, so we would have to wait until Fridays on NBC to see the latest music videos on Friday Night Videos. Forty years later, we do have MTV but never watch it these days as they don’t play music videos anymore…they just run that “Ridiculous” show 24/7, amirite?

So today we’re picking up the mantle of Friday Night Videos with a just released song, starring a 20-year-old British singer/songwriter named SAPPHIRE and her new song, “Corvette.” The premise of the song is about lost love as the young lady waits at the same bar every night, hoping the object of her affection returns to pick her up in his Corvette.

We seem to get a new “Corvette” song every few months or so, and truthfully, they are usually not our cup of tea…just noise and autotune. Our most recent foray into the world of popular music was the song Speed Drive which appeared on the Barbie the Album and features a pink C5 in the video.

I found the music video featuring SAPPHIRE’s new song to be better than most of the others shared here, plus we sort of liked the fact that she kept us waiting until the end to reveal that the Corvette in the song is a classic C3 convertible! Give it watch here and add your comments below:
