[STOLEN] Man's Missing C7 Corvette Shows Up for Sale on Facebook the Next Day

What should have been a joyous 21st birthday celebration at a Houston movie theater has turned into a nightmare for Muhammad Ashraf.

Leaving the theater, he walked out to the parking lot and discovered that his 2017 Z51 Corvette Stingray coupe had been stolen.

Even worse, friends alerted him that the car was put up for sale the next day on Facebook Marketplace with an asking price of $48,000, and Ashraf says despite the efforts of those friends who have tried to contact the seller and local police, his Corvette is still gone.

In a photo taken on his 17th birthday back in 2019, Ashraf was all smiles in a matching purple suit standing next to his 2017 Black Rose Metallic Corvette.

“I have a really good attachment to that car, so when it was stolen from me on my birthday out of all days, it was like the worst feeling ever,” Ashraf told KPRC reporter Rochelle turner. “And I didn’t even know how to react to it. I was frozen in the parking lot for like a good 10-15 minutes.”

Even more frustrating is that Ashraf knows who has his car, and despite the Facebook ad describing it as a 2019 model, he knows it is indeed his car in the listing photos because a gold pendant from his mother is hanging from the mirror, his jacket is still on the front seat, and a seat cover is lying in the back compartment. In addition, Ashraf says his car has three scratches on the roof and chipped paint on the front bumper, all visible in the photos. By the way, Mr. Thief, Black Rose Metallic was only offered in 2017 and 2018.

Anyone with information about the stolen car is asked to contact Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

  1. He needs to show up at this person’s house with his ownership information and a cop next to him…or someone with firepower if the cops can’t leave the donut shop.
