2024 Corvette Ordering Starts Today and Here are the Nationwide Constraints

Chevrolet officially opens the order books today for the 2024 Corvette Stingray and Z06 models. It’s always interesting to see what’s happening with the new options on the first few order cycles as Chevy transitions from the previous model year to the new one. At the same time, Chevy is currently building 2023 models and we’ve already seen the buildout (end of production) for the Elkhart Lake Blue and Caffeine exteriors, but it looks like those previous colors haven’t fully transitioned yet to the new colors. Unfortunately, we do have some significant constraints when it comes to ordering any of the three new exterior colors during this first order cycle.

These constraint numbers are brought to us by our friend Rick Conti, who shares the first 2024 constraints on his YouTube channel this morning. Rick says that the constraint report came with national availability numbers, so we have an idea of just how impactful these constraints are.

2024 Stingray

New 2024 Exterior Colors
• GJV Riptide Blue Metallic – 32 Stingrays
• GVR Cacti Green – 0 Stingrays
• GXA Sea Wolf – 8 Stingrays

Stingray Wheels:
• Q9I Gloss Black – 157 Available
• Q9A Midnight Gray – 149 Available
• Q90 Satin Graphite – 94 Available
• Q9Y 5 Spoke Silver – 149 Available

• No Constraints for Z51/Non-Z51

That last point is very good news as it seems like there has been some form of constraint on the Stingray models. Recently that split has been around 60/40 for Z51/Base so the fact they can go into an order cycle without any constraints here is a good sign and one we’ll be watching for with future Stingray orders.

2024 Z06

New 2024 Exterior Colors
• GJV Riptide Blue Metallic – 15 Z06s
• GVR Cacti Green – 0 Z06s
• GXA Sea Wolf – 4 Z06s

Aero/Z07 Components
• CFV Visible Carbon Fiber Ground Effects – 110 Available
• TOG Visible Carbon Fiber High Wing – 74 Available
• TOF Carbon Flash High Wing – 110 Available
• J57 Carbon Ceramic Brakes – 220 Available

The aero constraints for the Z06 look pretty good as well, and as we’ve stated previously, the percentage of Z07s in the 2023 model year has been steadily growing and I believe we are around 22-23% of Z06s that are equipped with the Z07. The one surprise here is the J57 Carbon Ceramic Brakes are limited to 220 nationwide and we wonder if that’s in preparation for the E-Ray which counts the CCBs as standard equipment.

For anyone whose 2024 Corvette orders were picked up today, congratulations! Feel free to tell us about your builds in the comments section below.

As Conti was the source, here is his latest video. He will be on-site at the CORSA show this weekend in Cleveland.

  1. These are certainly exciting times for Corvette. I had my eye on a ERay. Fact is I had the first allocation at my dealer. But, it seems there’s always a but, I was very surprised at the price. I, like others, expected a base MSRP around $85K. So it looks like GM has priced me out of the market. That was the bad news. The good news is my 2022 C8 is bought and paid for. More good news Corvettes at Carlisle is just around the corner. I’ve already made an appointment to have new wheels installed, I may see about a exhaust system (probably Corsa), and who knows what other goodies my catch my eye. So it’s all good. Cheers!

  2. Has there ever been a time during the C8 generation when absolutely nothing has been on constraint?

  3. Me too! I was on Mike Furman’s list for an E-Ray, but GM priced me out of the market. I am on Mike’s waiting list for a 2024 Stingray. Until then, I will enjoy my 2018 GS.

  4. I just turned 70 this year Had nothing but GM products all my life. REALLY DISAPPOINTED. WELL GM like others you priced me out so i will keep my 2019.

  5. Price increase, what would you expect? Dealer selling 25k to 70k over msrp, private owners doing the same! Consumers can’t get enough of them at msrp dealers like MacMulkin selling over 1,400 Corvettes per year .
Production costs are up, can’t get enough parts! I’d like to pay less, just like everyone else, I’m happy with msrp, I can’t afford a Lamborghini, I can afford a Corvette-so far

  6. I watched the interesting segment on the ’24 E-Ray filmed by a blogger at the NCM.
Question: Given that the Z06 comes with an additional gas guzzler tax, does it also apply to the E-Ray? At first brush, I’d guess ‘No’?? Can you confirm/deny? Thnx.
    p s. I have no website.
