[VIDEO] Did the C8 Corvette ZR1 Wheels Leak Online?


Ever since Chevy engineers first ventured out onto public streets back in April 2022 with what we think is the new C8 Corvette ZR1, it was fairly obvious that the car would have its own specific wheel design just as designers have done with the Stingray, Z06, and the E-Ray. The wheels of the prototypes are hidden behind round covers which are zip-tied onto the rims themselves, but the center hole allows us a glimpse of the spokes which shows these wheels are not currently offered on any other C8.

YouTuber Supercar Ranch says he believes he has come across the actual wheel that will be offered on the 2025 Corvette ZR1 and made a video showing the black wheel design and how it matches up perfectly with the spoke design that is visible on the ZR1 prototypes.

Claiming that this leak is just like the OEM Carbon Revolution validation wheels that were posted to eBay a full three years prior to the Z06 going on sale, Supercar Ranch says he found these through a similar leak, however, he doesn’t share the source or link on where they are posted.

In addition to sharing the photo of the wheel, Supercar Ranch also attempted a quick photoshop to show what they might look like on his 2023 Corvette Z06, It seems the design seems to fit right in with the other multi-spoke wheel designs available on the C8 Corvette that include the 20-spoke wheels for the Stingray and the Spider aluminum wheels for the Z06:

  2. Remarkable…wonder how he found them. I recall the photos of the Z06 carbon fiber wheels that were offered on Ebay a couple years back. I think the set was being offered at $4600 but the offer was pulled right away. I assumed that they had gone out the back door of Carbon Revolution in Australia.

    I hope there are a lot more differences to the ZR1 than the wheels.

  3. I think the Corvette team seriously needs to hire a stylist who knows how to design a decent looking wheel. Wheels like this one that have too much going on and too many slots to have to clean in just don’t get it for me. Another issue is that most late model Corvette wheels have such high offsets that it doesn’t leave much room to have a concave looking center which is the kind of styling that I like on a Corvette wheel.
