New Z06 Allocations Went Out This Week and More Production News

Despite dealers only being able to submit dealer stock orders for the 2023 Corvette Z06, we are happy to report that Chevrolet did another round of 2023 Z06 allocations on Thursday to select dealers. From our discussions, many were happy with their totals and even one dealer we spoke with was excited to have finally received his very first Z07 allocation.

Hopefully, those dealers that did get an allocation will offer those cars to their customers. There are few things about a dealer stock orders that you can’t do for customers, which includes the R8C Museum Delivery or the D30 Color Combination Override. But for the most part, dealers should be able to fulfill most of a customer’s order via a dealer stock order.

Production of the Z06 has been on fire this last week as well, and I’m thinking this is the best week for Z06 production we’ve had since they started down the line last fall. Just this week (Monday-Thursday) the plant has completed 228 new Z06s and we are finally seeing a bunch more of those being the 70th Anniversary models. Currently we are counting 1659 regular Z06s and 284 70th Anniversary models for a total of 1,943. Based on Friday and Monday’s production totals, we should surpass 2,000 Z06s by early next week.

And finally, here’s some info on the Coupes vs Convertibles for Z06. Hopefully, we’ll get some additional numbers at the Bash next week. For this we jumped over to the C8Tracker.com website which is one of the sources we use for monitoring Z06 production. The site just got a custom search upgrade so we can do percentage breakdowns on the Z06 Coupe vs Convertible.

For regular Z06 production, the Z06 Coupes are at 49% vs 51% for the Convertible models while the disparity is even greater for the 70th Anniversary models. That breakdown is 37% Coupe vs 63% Convertible.

We are guessing that there would be more Z06 Coupes than Convertibles for the regular Z06 models if the Z07 Performance Package was readily available for the regular models. It also looks like for the 70th Anniversary Package, people just prefer the Convertible driving experience more.

The NCM Bash is next week and from that event we’ll hear more about production from Corvette Assembly Plant manager Kai Spande as well as additional breakdowns in models, colors, options and more from Corvette’s Harlan Charles.
