[VIDEO] Jesse Iwuji Takes his 2023 Corvette Z06 to Willow Springs

One of the new YouTubers we’ve been enjoying since the coming of the 2023 Corvette Z06 is Jesse Iwuji, whose is also a Naval Reserve Officer and has raced in the NASCAR Xfinity series. Since taking delivery of his 3LZ Coupe, Jesse has shared videos of his cross-country jaunts, trips to both eighth mile and quarter mile dragstrips, and his on-track experiences.

He’s got a new video out this afternoon and it has him behind the wheel of his Amplify Orange Z06 on the road course at Willow Springs. The best part is that he’s taking us along for the ride!

Jesse says that for this event, he is running the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that have already been through a few track dates and they have around 7500 miles on them. Once he starts making some hot laps, his hand movements on the wheel show how much he’s fighting for grip. But the tires hang in their for some spirited laps on the road course with Jesse doing his best to talk and drive at the same time.

From Jesse Iwuji via YouTube:

Although the Michelin pilot sport 4S tires last for quite a while, optimal grip definitely isn’t there after a few track days and 7500 miles. It isn’t terrible, just not everything you would really want to go blazing fast. Overall still a fun tire to drive on with more grip than I thought they would have. To truly run the way this car was meant though, the Pilot Cup 2R’s are the way to go, hands down.

  1. What kind of car is that right behind the Z06 in the picture? Possibly a modified C5 Corvette Tiger Shark? I can’t tell for sure what it is.
