GM Expands Availability of its Visible Carbon Fiber ‘Boomerangs’ for the C8 Stingray to All Trim Groups

If you’ve been longing for more carbon fiber on your C8 Corvette Stingray but didn’t want to spring the bucks for the more expensive 3LT trim level, GM has heard your plea.

The Visible Carbon Fiber door intake trim (RPO code RYQ) is now available on all three trims (1LT, 2LT, and 3LT) of the 2023 coupe and hardtop convertible, according to a report by GM Authority.

The “boomerang” will cost $3,195 on the 2023 Stingray as an LPO-level Genuine Corvette Accessory and will be installed by the dealership, not at the Bowling Green factory.

Earlier supplier constraints forced Chevy to cancel the Visible Carbon Fiber door intake trim for the 2022 Stingray, along with the Visible Carbon Fiber High Wing Spoiler.

Apparently, Chevy feels confident enough now that those supply-chain issues have been resolved to go ahead and offer the door intake trim on all three trim levels for 2023.
