[VIDEO] Impressions of Driving the 2023 Corvette Z06 for the First Time

Justin from HorsePower Obsessed is back with another new video featuring StreetSpeed 717’s 2023 Corvette Z06 and this time we get his raw first-account impressions when driving America’s newest supercar.

Justin first takes a moment to appreciate all the content ordered originally by TJ Hunt to max out the build. It’s got carbon fiber everything (aero, wheels, trim) and inside is the 3LZ interior with every box checked like competition sport seats and stealth interior, and it even has the blacked-out carbon fiber crossed-flags emblems.

But the real fun comes when Justin gets behind the wheel for the first time. “I need this in my life right now,” says the YouTuber as he pulls out on to the road for the first time. Mike from StreetSpeed 717 is also along for the cruise, leading the way while driving Justin’s 2019 Corvette ZR1.

Justin starts off in Tour Mode and then he goes through each of the modes, describing how it feels when compared to the C8 Stingray he owned. The chassis is so stiff that he says Tour Mode feels like Stingray’s track mode. With some room to run, Justin gives us the opportunity to hear the LT6 sound through the Fabspeed Motorsports’ straight pipe exhaust system.

Back at Mike’s place, the two Corvettes are revved once again, much to our delight! Check out the HorsePower Obsessed’s driving impressions video below:

  1. I’m sorry — I guess if you were test driving something like a golf cart you could reasonably do so with a camera in one hand and the other hand (sometimes none?) on the steering wheel, but that is no way to test drive something like a paddle-shifted Z06 Corvette. Give me a break!

  2. Yea see your point but Jason has a ZR1 to compare the 06 to The ZR1 .
That gives him creditability to do the review ,I think he did a good job doing that and I could relate and understand what he was getting across’

  3. Justin is a very knowledgeable person when it comes to Corvettes. Too bad the test drive Z06 was that of the sunglasses guy with the obnoxious exhaust. Sunglasses guy should put some 8″ diesel truck pipes on then jump the car over his creek.
