Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Oct 2nd

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

This week, Mike is out at Spring Mountain, where he is hosting 54 customers coming in for three classes at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. Before he left for the track, Mike posted his latest deliveries of new 2023 Corvettes to his happy customers and provided a fantastic gallery of throwback and vintage images. ~Some stories just need to be told and behind every restoration there usually is tons of history. Buckle up for the shortened version. I was incredibly fortunate to have worked for the Konner Auto family from 1978-1990 and back in the day three of the Konner men were my bosses and I learned much from Gary, RJ and Kenny. I’m not sure they realized how much I was listening all those years but they certainly have followed me the last several decades as I sell Corvettes nationwide. Three years ago Gary and his son Malcolm joined me at Spring Mountain in Nevada as They both wanted to take the Corvette Owner’s school. Gary also had called me as he was moving from The NJ/NY area down to Florida and he gifted me a ton of Konner Chevrolet memorabilia. This past June I received a call from RJ as he was moving from a large home to a smaller home and he wanted to gift me a ton of Konner memorabilia which included his childhood 1960 Yardman Corvette body that was sitting out back of his garage for the last 30+ years! Take a look at the before and after pictures since I did a bonzai same day 4 hour trip North and 4 hour trip back all in the same morning to pick up RJ’s items. I called Tony of Tony’s Corvette shop about the 1960 Yardman Corvette body and he gave me two leads. The first was to another customer of mine Dan Devito and he led me to Jim O’Neal who may just be the foremost authority for these Corvette bodies. He supplied the engine lid and decal pkg along with the schematic for the windshield. Tony also told me about Mike, the owner of 5 body shops in Maryland called Advanced Collision. He took on this project like a champ as this fiberglass body was in pieces and weathered in every way possible. After seeing Their teams work at Advanced Collision there is not a better shop in my opinion for any body work or restoration in the State! Thank you to all as this is now a piece of Art with much meaning as the Konner boys all played with this 1960 Corvette throughout the early 60’s! History, I would say so. ~ First day at Spring Mountain Racetrack in Pahrump, Nevada. Three classes filled with my Corvette customers from all over the globe for Corvette drivers school. 54 clients this week and 54 in April. 108 per year meet me out here for Ron Fellows School. Pizza is ordered for two dinners I host for this weeks 54 corvette clients and their guests. Farinata Italian Style Pizza.

~ New C8 Deliveries for the week…

~Jeff C. of Plainfield, Illinois factory ordered his new 70th Anniversary Carbon Flash metallic 2023 Convertible from me and now that the paperwork/payment process has been completed via Fed Ex it’s Plycar Trucking’s turn to handle the logistics. Enclosed trailer coming any day now to complete the 700 mile transport to Jeff’s Illinois home. Equipment list: 3LT, competition seats, magnetic ride, black exhaust tips, Z51 pkg, visible carbon fiber mirror caps and much more. Anniversary edition # 662

~Mike G. of Springfield, Illinois factory ordered from me an Elkhart Lake Blue with Natural interior 2023 Corvette Z51 Convertible. He will complete the paperwork/payment process via Fed Ex and then have it trailered to his Illinois home. The gloss black wheels look really good and have been very popular!

~Steven C. of Marietta, Georgia bought his very first Corvette (GS)from me in 2019 and today he flew in from Georgia to swoop in and take delivery of a very rare 2019 Corvette Z06 coupe in Long Beach Red metallic with manual transmission. In 2019 there were 6,937 Z06’s produced and of that number only 151 had my absolute favorite Corvette wheel , the 10 spoke blade Pearl Nickel aluminum wheel option code Q8U. I ordered this Corvette Z06 brand new for a customer and this past Saturday he traded it in and Monday Steven viewed it on the internet and that’s when we started emailing back and forth pictures, service work etc. Today he arrived at 9am and he wanted me to test drive it with him and it was smooth as silk. Steven did the paperwork and was on the road to Georgia in no time.
