Our friends at the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com just confirmed that the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain will begin offering the Z06 Owners School beginning in April 2023.

Chief driving instructor Rick Malone recently had the opportunity to join Ron Fellows at Laguna Seca Monterey, where he drove the Corvette Z06 Indy 500 Pace Car around the track. While driving impressions are currently embargoed, Rick described the new Z06 as a “race car for the street,” and that’s about all I can share now. The smile on his face at that moment tells us all we need to know.

My pro tip for those first-timers to Spring Mountain is that as soon as you get your VIN, contact the school at 800-391-6891 and start inquiring about class schedules and get your name in now when you can plan around it. This goes for new Stingray owners as well. Don’t wait because classes tend to get booked several months in advance, and you can lose your voucher if you don’t act. Chevy offers this fantastic opportunity to explore the full performance of the C8 Corvette and your cost is $1000 plus travel. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss. Visit Spring Mountain Motorsports for more info.

  1. I see that the school has lots of C8 Stingrays. Will they be getting Z06’s or do you need to provide your own? Same price?

  2. I’d imagine it will be difficult for them to get enough of them. I’m guessing classes will be limited. Plus they have to break in every car before putting them to use. When I went in 2021 they had something like 240 C8’s just to keep up. Rotation. Multiple classes. Maintenance.
