In the right hands, the C8 Corvette Z51 Coupe is a ferocious track weapon, as this fantastic POV ‘Ring video shows.
YouTuber and Porsche 718 GT4 driver xthilox starts the video as he merges on the Nurburgring with a C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe in front of him and the action never lets up as the two drivers carve through the various twists and turns of the Nordschleife as only veteran drivers who are very familiar with the German track can do.
At one point, the Corvette driver offers the GT4 the pass-by, but the Porsche driver is having too much fun following a very capable driver behind the wheel of America’s favorite sports car.

This “chase” was pure gold. Cudo’s to both in trusting each other around green hell with traffic. The Z51 C8 has the engine torque to compensate for the weight bias. Wonder what tires was the vette using?
Pretty cool, America’s affordable everyday driver super-car out playing with the Germans race car for the street. The Vette did fly by a blue 911.
Great video, might be the first time I’ve seen the “ring” from that perspective. I like seeing the telemetry from the cars in the video. This one didn’t have braking telemetry but watching the Vette in front helped. That little Cayman really wraps up the RPMs. Well it is the GT4 version.
2 very good drivers in 2 great cars. America’s affordable super car vs Porsche, the Corvette every bit as good. Great video!
Headline is kinda insulting to the C8 Corvette… passive aggressively.
And to think that’s just the “base” C8. The ZO6 is gonna be killer!!
