  1. Sorry but I just don’t get it. I’m a long time Corvette enthusiast. I currently own a 2016 3LT Z51 coupe. But I just don’t have the money to waste on tires unnecessarily and certainty not in an age of existential threats to our climate. I need to replace all four now just from normal wear. And given that will cost me over two grand … doing donuts is one of the stupidest things I can think of.

  2. So Mark, you have a Corvette, but are afraid that a burnout poses some kind of “threat” to the climate?

Maybe you would be better served in a Tesla. Just saying.

    You do you.

  3. Donuts were invented by tire manufactures. Burn them off so we can sell you another set. It’s run it’s course. Try something new such as , when you get electric motors on the front wheels you can do them in reverse.

  4. Sorry Boba, but I agree with Mark. I’m not gonna waste my tires spinning around in circles. I’d rather wear them out with some hard cornering on a winding road, thanks. Pretty much any POS car can do a doughnut.

  5. I also agree with Mark7, I Don’t Get It !!! what’s the point. I certainly wouldn’t want to buy those Corvettes after they get done beating the crap out of them………..

  6. I watched all the videos and I wasn’t very amused. Race car drivers doing burnouts and donuts on a track is fine. Doing donuts on public roads is stupid and dangerous. Burning down expensive tires is stupid and so is damaging your fender when a tire blows. Leave this childish crap for the Mustang, Challenger and Charger drivers.

  7. Ok, Mark, Chuck, Larry and Art cry babies. Maybe you girls need to all get a Prius. Getting new tires?? Time for burnouts, have a little fun with your high perf car yes, and besides it’s MY fucking car! Have you girls seen a Dodge commercial lately??? Tires are pricey yes, doing doughnuts everyday, not recommended. It is fun though, just like on the way to work today I had to teach a late model 5.0 Stang a lesson. I’m thinking about getting a plate frame that says “This GS eats Mustangs for lunch”. The cars don’t seem to mind, mine seems to run better after stomping a Stang or Charger or Challenger or any import POS. To bad most Corvette owners don’t deserve one or don’t get it, take care of them and have fun.

  8. I’m an old guy with a C6Z. If I had a car like this 40 years ago, I would have done this to the run-flats before I took them of. Now with $2000 worth of Pilot Sport 4S’s, no way. I agree with mark, it’s pretty stupid especially when you slide into a curb and now your car doesn’t steer the way it use to, then there’s the damage when you finally blow a tire. just childish.

  9. Maybe Kevin should get a Dodge or a Mustang. He seems to have the immature mentality required. Especially like the name calling, LMAO 😂

  10. So ignorant. This is why I won’t buy a used Corvette unless I personally know the history.
