We’ve seen time and again how a set of custom wheels can transform the ride they are mounted to, but we often hear that custom wheels are just too expensive. If you’re looking for a set of custom wheels that doesn’t break the bank, check out this promo video on Mugello wheels from Lexani Renzo.

We’ve always liked these style of wheels that looks like they are twisting even when the car is stopped. But when they are moving, the different colors of spokes creates a unique look that comes alive as the car gets up to speed. In this case, the custom bronze spokes gives the hint of a beige color on the outside of the rim as the weeks spin while the inside rim is highlighted by the white spokes and the center cap of the wheel. The custom two-color design opens up many possibilities as you can see:

Lexani’s Renzo Mugello wheels are made from corrosion-resistant materials to provide long-lasting service. They are available in sizes from 20 to 22 inches and the website only shows two designs available, Full Gloss Black or Machine and Gloss Black.

No prices are shown on the Lexani website, but a google search reveals the wheels to be affordably priced starting at around $350 per wheel or $1350 for the set. Of course, if you are moving up to a 20/21-inch staggered set-up, you’ll need to add a new set of rubber so the entry cost may still be somewhat significant when factoring the cost of new Michelins with the new wheels.

  1. Aftermarket wheels are such a personal choice. For me, aftermarket wheels should be a bridesmaid and not the center of attention i.e., “The Bride.”
These wheels are definitely overwhelming…and distract from the C8’s beauty, but to each to their own. ?

  2. Too many choices out there. You spend all of that money for something “you” like, and then if/when you sell it someone else hates it and does the same, or decides not to buy it because of those ugly wheels. No thanks.

  3. MORE ugly than what comes on it. Come on GM. You make this car then throw Wal-Mart hub caps on it?? Or, Wheels that remind us of a late 80s Fiero. COME ON MAN.

  4. Wasn’t going to comment for fear of being blocked, but after reading the other comments, it’s probably safe to say those wheels are what you see coming from the wrong side of town or in my case, from south of the border.
