[VIDEO] 2022 Caffeine Metallic Corvette Stingray Dressed in Vossen HF-2 Custom Wheels


Miami-based Vossen Wheels shared some pics of a C8 Corvette Stingray wearing their HF-2 alloy wheels and all I can think of is apologizing for not giving Caffeine Metallic its just due. Caffeine Metallic really does offer a spectacular shine once under the full sun and I love the travel between the angles as you will see in the video below.

Equally impressive are these Vossen HF-2 “hybrid forged” wheels with an Anthracite finish. Vossen shared the photos from their gallery to Instagram while the video below comes from one of Vossen’s dealers, WheelRoc of Doral, Florida.

No sizes were stated in the descriptions but to our eyes the owner went the affordable route by swapping out the OEM rims for the set of staggered 19/20-inch HF-2 wheels and then rewrapped them in the factory Michelins they rode in on. Vossen’s website shows the HF-2 starting retail prices are $599-$699 (19/20″) per wheel so you can give your Corvette a custom look without breaking the bank.

You can see the Vossen’s on this ’22 Caffeine Metallic Stingray Convertible and we find the color combination to be outstanding. There is already a ton of carbon flash on this car with the black roof, nacelles, and 5VM aero, so instead of the expected black wheels, these Anthracite wheels really help to brighten it up. Vossen also offers the HF-2s in two standard finishes and five custom finishes so you have a lot of choices.

  1. Looking forward to seeing a Caffeine Metallic C8 in person, preferably on a sunny day. The colour looks to be incredibly rich. Just not sure that it benefits from black or carbon flash trim, or interior, as black neither complements nor contrasts well with the Caffeine Mettalic. According, I would consider going with as much body colour trim as possible, and either a red dipped or natural dipped interior.

  7. @Chazoo — tan and dark brown are not available interior colours for the C8 — the most saddle-like colour offered would be natural, which is one of the possible interior colours I mentioned, and would probably be the most obvious choice in this case. However, I think a Caffeine Metallic C8 could look really sharp with a red dipped interior, as my understanding is that red is one of the various flake colours in Caffeine Metallic. Would be very interested to see a C8 in that colour combination.

  8. Just suggesting complimentary interior colors for a brown metallic paint, not what is currently available. Also, I would prefer black wheels or even body color wheels. On the other hand, you might select red wheels to pick up those red paint flakes?
