It was at the 1953 GM Motorama in New York City that Chevrolet introduced its hot new concept car known as the Corvette and once the word was out, throngs of people traveled far and wide to see the innovative fiberglass sports car as the Motorama crisscrossed the country. Seventy years later, that tradition of bringing the cars to the people is still going strong as Chevrolet’s 2023 Corvette Dealer Tour Kicks off this weekend.
Among the tour’s first stops to catch the all-new Z06 Corvette will be at Hendrick Chevrolet Cary in North Carolina on Thursday, February 24th, and Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Duluth in Georgia on Monday, March 7th. Make sure you save these dates!
The Raleigh-Durham area dealership’s live reveal and product display featuring America’s newest supercar on February 24th is scheduled for 11 am to 7 pm at the dealership, located at 100 Auto Mall Drive Cary NC, 27511.
Chevrolet’s dealer tour is a traveling display that brings one of the 2023 Corvette Z06 show cars to the dealership in a custom 5th wheel trailer. Once set up, mobile displays show off many of the specific Z06 equipment that includes the wheels, brakes, aero packages, and interiors. We would also think the new 70th Anniversary Special Edition package would be highlighted for potential buyers to see as well. A Corvette product specialist will also be on-site during the live event for product presentations and answering all your questions.
Chevy first offered a Dealer Tour with the introduction of the 2020 C8 Stingray and for many enthusiasts, it would be the first time they saw the revolutionary new Corvette in person. Hendrick Chevrolet Cary hosted the C8 Stingray Dealer Tour back in September 2019 and it was a great event that also included a Corvette show and food trucks. And of course, the crowd that turned out was very enthusiastic to see the new Corvette!
I remember our favorite thing from that first dealer tour was that very first moment of sliding into the driver’s seat and test fitting the GT2 seat while my hands instinctively reached for the squircle-shaped steering wheel. That immediate connection with the car was no doubt responsible for more than a few conquest sales, and GM is hoping that cycle continues.
Most of these dealer tour events allow you to get hands-on with the cars, and hopefully, the Corvette Specialist will see to it that these cars can be started up for its fans. It may be worth noting that once the event concludes, the cars are loaded up and taken to the next location, so sticking around until the end may just reward you with the new signature roar of the Corvette Z06!

Do you guys know if they’re coming to Buffalo New York any of the dealers for the new Z06
I think GM should to change over the Saturn plant to another Corvette plant being that they only can make half of the Corvettes they made back when they made C7s now I know the Cadillac EV is being made in the Saturn plant but I’m sure they’ll be a way that they could build both of them that way they can hire more people too and keep up with the demand for the C8s.
