[STOLEN] Brazen Car Thieves Steal a 2015 Corvette Stingray From North Carolina Dealership

A Torch Red 2015 Corvette Stingray remains missing after a brazen trio of thieves made off with $200,000 worth of high-end vehicles at a North Carolina dealership last weekend.

Closed-circuit images reveal one of the thieves smashing out the front window around 1 a.m. Sunday and taking all 33 vehicle keys from the office at Ramirez Automotive in Greensboro, only to return 20 minutes later with two accomplices to steal the Corvette, along with a Range Rover, Yukon Denali, Chevrolet Silverado, Jaguar XJ, and Ram 3500 Dually.

“It’s really frustrating, and it’s really sad to be in that situation,” Ramirez Automotive LLC owner Jose Ramirez told Fox 8 News.

Fortunately, with the help of a social media tip, all the vehicles except for the Corvette were found several blocks away at the parking lot of The Forrest Apartments.

“I’m out here trying to help out the community and be able to provide affordable vehicles for the community, not bothering anyone, not hurting anybody,” Ramirez said.

Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the recovery of the Corvette, which was being offered for $51,995 by the car lot. The 2LT Stingray, with 56,791 miles, features black stinger hood, rocker moldings, and wheels and has a two-tone red and black interior.

“We’re a community,” Ramirez said. “We shouldn’t be trying to hurt each other. We should try to help each other through whatever situation.”
