The National Weather Service has now confirmed the tornado that struck Bowling Green was an EF-3 with winds reaching 155 mph. As those winds swept across the grounds of the Corvette Assembly Plant, they ripped this Corvette Tours sign from the side of the road that circles the factory and launched it into the air.

That sign would travel approximately 30 miles northeast before landing on a family farm in Kessinger, Kentucky.

Earlier today, Ersilla Thompson posted a photo of the banged-up signed and she rightly guessed that it comes from the Corvette Plant:

We were at the plant in September and noted that the tour signs had all been updated with the C8 Corvette logos. We were hoping this was a clue that tours would soon be turning to the assembly plant, but that was two variants ago. Tours of the assembly plant have been suspended since 2017’s construction of the paint building.
