GM showed off its new Amplify Orange on a pre-production 2022 Corvette Stingray on Thursday afternoon with the new exterior color making its first public appearance at a job fair event held at a Bowling Green Mall.

Amplify Orange replaces the popular Sebring Orange Metallic for the 2022 model year. The new color is flatter and less metallic than Sebring Orange and as it is a premium tintcoat paint, the option adds an additional $995 to the MSRP on the Stingray which will have a new starting base price of $62,195 for the model year.

GM employee Eric Farmer is the HR/Labor Relations Director and he tells WBKO that they are excited to show the public what they have been working on.

“This is the first mid-engine Corvette ever built, which has been long anticipated by car enthusiasts for a long time, brand new color with the amplify orange. So we’ll see how that one goes, for sure. I think people are excited to see it. And I think it really draws people into what we’re doing at Bowling Green assembly,” said Eric Farmer, HR/Labor Relations Director at General Motors. “Very awesome car to build, but it’s really very fun to drive to so. And that’s why we hope to sell a lot of them and really keep a lot of people employed here in the bowling green community.”

The Amplify Orange Stingray will be on display at the Greenwood Malll in Bowling Green on Friday and Saturday. According to this post by Brandon Jarrett of WBKO, the job fair features 25 employers looking to fill over 200 positions:
