One if by land, two if by sea?
That slogan might be a proper fit for this C7 Corvette lookalike powerboat made by JetCar Turkiye, a Turkey-based company that recently released a new video on Instagram showing their latest creation.
Unfortunately, the company’s website offers scant details on the craft, other than a few photos taken during production and a couple of videos showing them in action on the water, including a red one we told you about last May.
This latest video shows a gold boat having a great time spinning around an unidentified body of water. It’s described as a Seado 260 HP jet car, with no other information provided on the engine.
That someone would want to produce such a craft is no surprise, considering that the Corvette got its name from a type of warship, thanks to the suggestion of Chevy PR man Myron Scott. Then in the late 1980s Mercury Marine, of course, helped with the C4 ZR-1’s LT5 engine. In 2011, Marine Technology offered a ZR48 boat with two Mercury Marine twin-turbo engines that delivered 1,350 horsepower, but while it featured a dash lifted from a C6 Corvette, it didn’t really look like a Corvette except for the rear reminiscent of a C2 and C3.
This latest Corvette-based boat definitely looks the part, though, as the company obviously put forth a lot of effort in replicating a C7 body.
Let’s hope more details are forthcoming, and maybe these Corvette boats will be seen cruising on the waterways of America.
