One of the more interesting life-hacks to come from the internet in recent years is the use of Ramen Noodles as a cheap filler to fix broken stuff. YouTube is filled with videos showing the tasty snack used to fix everything from holes in drywall to cracked toilet seats, and now we’re going to see if it can help repair the door of a wrecked C8 Corvette.

Judah Findley of Judah’s Garage on YouTube had previously purchased the 2020 Corvette that was wrecked earlier this year by the rapper Rodwave, and he and a group of friends have been making steady process to get the car back on the road.

However, one of the issues they’ve been having is that there aren’t a lot of spare parts out there for the 2020 Corvette which includes the actual doors. Those replacement doors were thought to be needed as the originals are currently showing damage to the SMC panels. So what to do in the meantime? If you weren’t thinking Ramen Noodles, then you’re not up on the latest repair trend sweeping the country!

So after watching a few videos showing repairs of everyday items with Ramen Noodles, Judah bought himself a 12-pack of the tasty and inexpensive snack. Armed with a glue gun and some Bondo, Judah then goes to work on the car.

After drenching the Ramen with glue, the squared pieces are wedged inside the hole and along the seam, and then more glue is added. Next, the Bondo is mixed with a hardener and then spackled over the noodles. Once the Bondo dries, the next steps are to sand it all down and then paint it with the “color-matching” Rustoleum spray paint.

While this repair may not be as perfect as replacing the door with a new one, the Ramen Noodles method of automotive body repair just might be the cost-effective way to go, plus, it makes for a killer back story for the Corvette as well.

Now that’s you’ve seen how Ramen Noodles can be used to repair this broken 2020 Corvette, are you a believer in the power of Ramen as a modern-day-miracle of auto repair? We definitely are!!

  1. No Fu*#**ing way I would do that to my car, how about doing it the right way. Wow One of the dumbest things I have seen.

  2. Wow.
    Holy $#+@
And this is supposed to get back up on the road?
Did any of you see the state of that car’s aftermath?
Not only are they using Ramen to fix bodywork…
(But they’re starting with the door.)

I feel bad for the homeless who can’t buy that pack of ramen back, now that it has been made part of this…corpse.

  3. They didnt add the flavor packet or the dried veggies so that repair wont last. How ’bout some self expanding foam for Christsakes? I dont know which food group that belongs in but you can get it at Home Depot though they might not take your WIC card.
