[VIDEO] Drive 615 Compares the 2020 C8 Corvette to the C7 Z06


Our friend Bryon Glover Jr from the Drive 615 YouTube Channel recently offered his review after spending the week with a 2020 Corvette Convertible, and now he is back as he compares the newest Corvette to the 2015 C7 Corvette Z06 that resides in his garage.

Although the two Corvettes are totally different in models, specs, and colors, Byron offers a walk-around of each Corvette before wrapping up with an epic “rev-battle” at the end.

Seeing the two Corvettes together like this allows us to review the strengths and weaknesses of both cars. I find that the major drawback of the C8 vs the C7 coupes is the storage area as Byron also points out. You can put a lot into the back of the C7 while the C8’s storage area is roughly the same size overall, but broken into two different locations.

After opening all the doors, hoods and trunks (or frunk) on both cars, Bryon turns his attention to the interior layouts and we see the progression that Chevy’s designers have made with the C8 model vs the C7 Corvette.

Finally, Byron comes to the end of the comparison and he lets the Vettes off the chain with a rev-off at the end.

  2. I have seen video of the C8 and the C7 Stingray from a dig and also from a roll, which the C8 won both categories. Would like to see one between a C8 and a C7 ZO6 with the automatic and lunch control on and a rolling start.
