[VIDEO] EFX Tuning Claims Title for Fastest All Motor C8 Corvette on the Planet

The guys at EFX Tuning – a small shop that opened in early 2013 in Lindenwold, New Jersey, just southeast of Philadelphia – say they have just recorded the world’s fastest quarter-mile time in an “all motor” C8 Corvette.

At Atco Drag Way in Atco, New Jersey, they were able to post several consecutive runs in the mid-10-second range, well below Chevrolet’s official time of 11.2 seconds.

As captured in this video, their best time in the Arctic White 2020 Corvette was 10.523 seconds at 129.67 mph and the same time again at 129.45 mph. They remained consistent, too, with three other times of 10.544 at 129.12 mph, 10.558 at 129.23 mph, and 10.685 at 129.85 mph. (FYI, no times were shown on the boards, but the time slips are displayed at the end.)

Since the ECU in the new mid-engine Corvette is proving a tough nut for aftermarket tuners to crack so far, EFX Tuning kept the stock camshaft and stock tuning and avoided turbocharging the stock 6.2-liter V8 engine – instead preparing the Corvette for the drag strip with Xtreme CFM Ported Heads, American Racing Headers, American Racing Exhaust, Brisk Racing Spark Plugs, Mighty Mouse Solutions Catch Can, and Mickey Thompson Drag Radials.
