There’s always room for change, even on a car as fantastic as the new 2020 Corvette Stingray.
Some people have complained that the new mid-engine Chevy is too quiet, for example. You just can’t please some folks, and that’s why aftermarket companies like CORSA exist in the first place.
The company, long popular with the Corvette enthusiast crowd, has just released a 45-second video that reveals a tantalizing snippet of the sound and appearance of their new CORSA cat-back exhaust system for the mid-engine Stingray.
With more and more 2020 Corvettes leaving the Bowling Green assembly plant and hitting the streets every week, we’re sure CORSA would like to get the new system on the market as soon as possible.
For now, though, we aren’t told exactly when that will be, just this cryptic message: “The CORSA Performance Chevrolet C8 Corvette Exhaust System,” CORSA teases, “will soon arrive, but for now … Coming Soon.”
Though it’s for less time than we’d like, we have to admit we love the little we do hear as the sleek mid-engine Corvette is shown, rumbling past a warehouse shipping dock. We also get a glimpse of the new system’s quad rounded exhaust tips done in a dark chrome finish with the CORSA logo laser-engraved atop each end.
CORSA doesn’t provide any performance details, but the company claims a similar system for C7 Corvettes delivers a 23.06 percent flow increase good for an additional 4 horsepower, with a weight savings of 4 lbs.
Not earth-shaking upgrades, but then if you’re like me, it’s all about the sound anyway.
