[VIDEO] Billy Boat Offers First Look at New C8 Aftermarket Exhaust System

Billy Boat Exhaust, better known as BBE, has officially entered the fray of aftermarket exhaust systems designed for the C8 Corvette with an impressive looking (and sounding!) design that keeps all the features you like on the stock system but with a deeper, more aggressive tone.

The BBE Fusion system utilizes a bi-modal fusion design that maintains all the factory NPP capabilities (Tour, Sport and Track Modes) by using their own NPP valve body. The exhaust flow is split into a “Y” and allows a full 3″ exhaust flow with the NPP valve is open and 2 1/2″ when the valve is closed in touring mode.

The system also works with the C8 Corvette’s Active Fuel Management in that it doesn’t resonate when in 4-cylinder mode and it doesn’t set off a “Check Engine Light.”

We especially like the looks of the new system as all the T-304 stainless steel piping is tucked up under the rear valance and doesn’t hang down like some of the systems we’ve seen. BBE will be offering 3 different tip styles with a 4.5″ round tips offered in Carbon Fiber or polished stainless steel, and a “Speedway tip” that is designed around the shape of the valance like their C7 offering is also coming. Both the polished stainless steel tip and the Speedway tips can also be ceramic coated in Black.

Now that we’ve told you about the construction details, here is how the BBE system sounds:

The Billy Boat C8 Exhaust Systems are now in production and are only be available via a factory-direct basis. For pricing and availability, contact [email protected] or call the factory at 888 228-7435. More information about the C8 Corvette exhaust will be coming soon to their website at bbexhaust.com.

BBE is also promising a “Bullet” version of the C8 exhaust that’s a single-mode system and it will utilize the same 3″ PRT muffler used in the C6/C7 Z06 systems. Look for more details in the next 30 days on that.
