Do we have any fans of Accelerate Yellow in the house! If so, we got our first look at the new shade of Yellow on a 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible.
The video walkaround comes from our friend Byron Glover Jr and his YouTube Channel “Drive 615“. Byron has been on the hunt lately and recently came across the new hardtop convertible in a Bowling Green parking lot.
Byron first drives by the Corvette Assembly Plant and he spies three hardtop convertibles lined up behind a fence. The colors of those cars are Torch Red, Elkhart Lake Blue and Zeus Bronze. Byron is correct is stating that the Zeus is the first time we’ve seen the color on a hardtop convertible. All three have the RPO D86 option which features black nacelles with a body-color roof.
From there, Byron heads to the main drag into Bowling Green and finds an Accelerate Yellow Corvette Convertible on a restaurant parking lot. Like the three counterparts spied above, this HTC is also sporting the D86 Carbon Flash Nacelles. Other options on the car include the Yellow brake calibers, while inside we see the Yellow seatbelts along with the Jet black interior with Yellow Stitching which helps to bring some of the color inside the cabin.
As he is cruising around Bowling Green, he spots a Silver 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible driving down the road with its top-down and as he gets up close to it we see it also has the Black nacelles. You can tell its a D86 as if it has the Carbon Flash painted roof, the windshield surround would be black as well.

all the converts in any color look better with body color nacelles and body color roofs IMO .
Best looking color for the C8 since it looks so exotic. And especially with the black accents, yellow calipers, and the black wheels. Seen one in that color combo last week and it was stunning!
Black/black coming our way soon, built Thursday, September 17th. Any color is a great color for the HTC.
I don’t understand why anyone would buy a C8 convertible and then f*ck it up with black nacelles. That totally chops up the lines and destroys the coolness factor. And it shows you’re an idiot for buying into the blackout hipster look. ‘jeezus’. Oh, and if I’m gonna f*ck up my Vette with black nacelles I’ll also pay more for a set of black wheels too – so it looks like I’m driving around on 4 spare tires…

Bring back the old yellow. Too much green in the new yellow.
