Good day Corvette fans! Hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Labor Day weekend. Here at CorvetteBlogger’s Detroit Bureau, we were busy putting the final touches on a brand-new pole barn for storing our rides.
As we wrap up our coverage from Corvettes at Carlisle it’s time to take a look at some of the Corvette vanity plates we spied at the show a couple weeks ago. Even in this Covid-era of smaller crowds and social distancing, we still managed to find many, many creative vanity plates throughout the expansive Carlisle Fairgrounds. We’ve always said that Corvette owners are a cut above when it comes to crafty, witty, and creative tags and the examples we spotted at Carlisle support our theory.
Some of our favorites included ALLORIG on a stunning 1971 Ontario Orange LS6 in the Chip’s Choice display, WIDO MKR on a wild C7 track car, and ICONIC on a white C7 Z06. Just like Hulkamania, Corvette-a-mania was RUNNWLD on a blue C7. Lastly, we were big fans of HYPR VET on a brand new, white C8 Stingray.

I’ve got an ’18 Long Beach Red Grand Sport coupe. All my friends were adamant that I get a Z06 but I prefer natural aspiration and felt the weight to horsepower ratio of the GS to have better track manners. My AZ vanity plate? ENUFF HP. My license plate holder says it all: Retired and Spending It.

I have a 2010 Black Grand Sport that is named Black Bear. Virginia’s Shenandoah Nat’l Park has a commemorative plate with mountains in the background and….yes…a black Bear on the left, mine says RAHRR (we are Ltd to just 5 spaces and I’ve wanted to draw in Sharpie a comment balloon from his maw around the letters) but I open my NPP exhaust to do that for me!
I was at 2020 Corvettes at Carlisle and fellow club member HYPR VET (our club’s first C8) was parked next to our Northern Virginia Corvette Club tent.
I’m going with A FORCE, because the car is a real Force and that is my last name.
These are cool, my plates say “2011GS” it’s a 11′ GS crystal red met tintcoat, 3LT, chrome ZO6 wheels, NPP, both tops with 13k on it and it’s a manual. Love this car.
