[VIDEO] C8 Corvette with Hennessey’s New Stainless Steel Exhaust System is Dyno Tested

Hennessey Performance has recently shared several videos of an Arctic White 2020 Corvette that was shown first in stock form, and then after it received some work from the Texas tuning shop that included a NOS system and the addition of their new custom stainless steel exhaust system. As part of their validation testing, the Hennessey team with Corvette Hall of Famer John Heinricy behind the wheel were able to reach a world record top speed of 205.1 mph.

Following the record run, Hennessey issued a press release which included this bit about the custom stainless steel exhaust system:

“We designed a new stainless-steel exhaust system for the C8 that slightly increases power (20 hp), improves sound and is lighter by around 12 pounds,” said company founder and chief horsepower evangelist, John Hennessey. “We’ve been doing some validation testing and thought that a run over 200-mph would be the ultimate test of performance and durability for our new exhaust system. We also installed a Nitrous Oxide system to bump power to around 650 HP. We are very pleased with the results and we will be releasing our C8 exhaust upgrade in the very near future.”

Here’s a new video from Hennessey that shows the Corvette with the upgraded exhaust system on the dyno and here they are showing gains of 21 RWHP and it weighs 11 pounds less than the factory system.
